Privacy Policy

Last updated on February 18, 2025.

Setavia ("Setavia," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you interact with our websites, products, or services (collectively, the "Services").

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the Services:

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy — we do not store your card details.

Website data you provide. When you submit a website for analysis, we crawl the publicly accessible pages of that website to generate SEO reports, content plans, and strategy recommendations. The content of those pages is processed by artificial intelligence and may be stored temporarily to deliver the Services.

Usage and analytics data. We use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Fathom collects aggregate, anonymised usage statistics only.

Early-access subscriptions. If you sign up for early access before launch, we collect your email address to send launch notifications.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining the Services
  • Analysing your submitted websites using AI to generate SEO reports and content plans
  • Processing payments and managing subscriptions
  • Sending transactional emails (e.g. analysis-ready notifications)
  • Sending product updates and launch notifications you have opted into
  • Improving the features and reliability of the Services
  • Complying with applicable legal obligations

Cookies

We use a minimal number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the Services to function. These include:

  • Session cookie — maintains your authenticated session while you are logged in
  • Appearance preference — stores your chosen theme (light or dark mode)
  • Sidebar state — remembers whether the navigation sidebar is expanded or collapsed

We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party marketing cookies. Fathom Analytics, our analytics provider, does not use cookies.

Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party providers solely to the extent necessary for them to perform services on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. Our current providers include:

  • OpenAI — processes website content through AI models to generate analysis and recommendations
  • ScrapingBee — crawls publicly accessible web pages you submit for analysis
  • Lemon Squeezy — processes subscription payments and billing
  • Postmark — delivers transactional emails on our behalf
  • Amazon Web Services (S3) — stores media and generated assets
  • Fathom Analytics — provides privacy-focused, cookieless website analytics
  • Unsplash — provides stock imagery used within generated content plans

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Data Retention

We retain your account and website analysis data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for up to 12 months after cancellation to allow you to reactivate and access your existing reports. After this period, your data is permanently deleted unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Early-access email addresses are retained until launch notifications have been sent, after which they are deleted unless you create an account.

Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information from unauthorised access, use, alteration, or disclosure. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under applicable data protection law:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
  • Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@setavia.ai. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — processing necessary to provide the Services you have subscribed to
  • Consent — where you have opted in to receive launch notifications or marketing communications
  • Legitimate interests — improving our Services and ensuring their security, where those interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to process data to comply with applicable law

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
